In 1944 as the end of World War II drew near, the Eameses applied their expertise gained from wartime projects to producing molded plywood furniture. One of their earliest plywood designs was this child’s chair. The chair consists of two parts: the seat and legs are molded from one piece of plywood, and the separate backrest is joined to the seat with three visible screws.
