Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto's art takes the form of fantastical, multisensory environments. Neto uses hundreds of yards of translucent material, as well as foam and fabric, to construct environments that both stimulate and envelop the senses.

Walking in Venus blue cave is made of stocking-like netting filled with Styrofoam beads and is illuminated on the interior by incandescent lights. Being inside his installations has been compared to being inside a womb, where viewers can actively participate with Neto's constructed environment. "I like to think of the body as both an architectural construction and a landscape," Neto said.
