The drawings in Ingredients, mostly American, supported by the Eleanor and Henry Hitchcock foundation, reveal the vast and varied ways of portraying subject matter. The lines are thick, thin, taut, loose, delicate and aggressive. Viewers are invited to observe all the ways these ingredients are used to create delightful drawings—bold or delicate lines, color or lack thereof—all to reveal an artist’s vision and need to create.
