Edgardo Giménez en la galería Rioboo
Edgardo Giménez, Edgardo Giménez en la galería Rioboo, 1964. Lithograph on paper; 22½ × 14¼ in. Gift of the Institute for Studies on Latin American Art (ISLAA LLC), 2020.109. © Edgardo Giménez.
Edgardo Giménez had his first solo show at the Galería Riobóo in Bueno Aires when he was only 22 years old. A self-taught artist, Giménez plays between bold graphics and balanced designs. This poster, which was part of the artist’s first show, highlights elements that would become part of Gimenez’s style: collage, self-portraiture, and experimentation with solid colors.
