Conservation

The conservation department at the Denver Art Museum is made up of conservators with specialties in works of art on paper, photographs, paintings, textiles, archaeological and ethnographic objects, and modern and contemporary art. Our staff cares for the collections in accordance with our expressed mission to preserve works of art for future generations.

Provenance Research

The term provenance refers to the history of ownership of an artwork. The Denver Art Museum curatorial team conducts provenance research on an ongoing basis and posts results online as they become available.
