¿Qué son los SCFD Free Days?

A lo largo del año, organizaciones de todo Denver –desde el Denver Museum of Nature & Science hasta nuestros vecinos del Clyfford Still Museum– ofrecen cientos de días y programas gratuitos. Estos días gratuitos son posibles, en parte, gracias a la financiación del Distrito de Organizaciones Científicas y Culturales (SCFD por sus siglas en inglés).

El SCFD es un distrito especial aprobado por los votantes de siete condados en el área metropolitana que proporciona una fuente estable de financiación suplementaria a más de 300 organizaciones científicas y culturales dentro de los límites del distrito.

Do free days include access to special exhibitions?

SCFD Free Days provide access to the entire Denver Art Museum campus (the Hamilton Building, the Martin Building, and The Kirkland) but do not include entry into special exhibitions. Special exhibitions require the purchase of an additional ticket.

Are advance ticket reservations needed on free days?

Visitors are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance online, though walk-in tickets will also be available.

Do members need tickets?

General admission is free year-round for members, though advanced reservations are still encouraged.

What other discount opportunities does the museum offer?

Free and discounted admission opportunities at the museum also include:

  • General admission is always free to all youth age 18 and under every day, as part of our Free for Kids program.
  • Discounted admission is available to aides or caregivers accompanying visitors. Please call us at 720-913-0130 during museum operating hours (10 am-5 pm daily Thursdays through Tuesdays) for more information.
  • Free general admission is provided to active duty military personnel and their families from Armed Forces Day (in May) through Labor Day (in September), through the Blue Star Museums initiative.
  • Colorado resident SNAP cardholders may purchase discounted tickets as part of the Explorer Pass.
  • Denver CityPASS® ticketholders can save up to 42% on admission to the Denver Art Museum plus their choice of 3, 4, or 5 more of Denver's top attractions.
