Summer is almost over, but there’s still plenty of things to do at the DAM. How many items can you check off this list before fall? Remember, general admission is free for youth 18 and under every day (which includes all of the following)!
1. Make Some Music on the Plaza
All of the following exhibitions and activities are included with general admission, which is free for members and youth 18 and younger. Visitors with a SNAP card receive discounted general admission.
Pop on over to Cuentos del Arte
Join our cuentista, or master storyteller, on July 6, 2019, for Free First Saturday where she will share the story of the Moon Rope. Stories are bilingual and will begin at 11:30 am and 1 pm.
Does your backyard need a DIY play structure this summer? Look no further!
The Denver Art Museum offers discounted general admission* to individuals and families with a Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) card. For $1 per person (for up to 10 people total), SNAP cardholders will receive general admission to the museum, which includes fun and creative programs for the whole family such as:
Create Playdate–Drop in for hands-on artmaking with your little ones, ages 3–5. Meet in the atrium for program location on the second Wednesday of the month, 10 am–1 pm.
Flowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, and things are changing. We have so many new and exciting activities here at the Denver Art Museum. Come and join the fun! The following activities are included with general admission, which is free for youth 18 and younger and for members.
A new story is ready to bloom at Cuentos del Arte
April showers bring May flowers. While you’re waiting for those flowers to bloom, head over to the Denver Art Museum for fun for the whole family! Reminder: youth 18 and younger receive free general admission to the museum every day.
Sprinkle in some fun at Cuentos del Arte
Join us on April 6 for Free First Saturday. Our cuentista, or master storyteller, will tell the story of the stone serpents. Stories are bilingual and happen at 11:30 am and 1 pm.
Ditch the drizzle at Create Playdate
Is your school actively engaged in promoting the arts? Do you work for a community center focused on exposing youth and families to new creative experiences and opportunities? Apply here to collaborate with the Denver Art Museum to bring the Art Lives Here/El arte vive aquí program to your site.
The seasons may start to change in the month of March, but there’s one thing that remains the same: there’s always a variety of fun family activities at the museum.
Listen in at Art Stories (Cuentos del Arte)
Join us for Free First Saturday on March 2, and listen to our master storyteller at Art Stories (Cuentos del Arte). Let your imagination run wild as you hear a new tale. Story times are 11:30 am and 1 pm
Set sail at Create Playdate
Note: Youth 18 and under enjoy free general admission to the Denver Art Museum every day. Dior: From Paris to the World is a ticketed exhibition, which is not included in general admission.

1. Take a ‘vacation’ at the DAM
Winter break at the DAM is still on through January 6, 2019, so stop by for family fun. The Print Studio, gallery activities, A Walk in the Woods family space, and two Create-n-Takes are open every day.
December is here and the museum is hopping.
Stop by for a visit in between holiday shopping.
