A new story is ready to bloom at Cuentos del Arte
April showers bring May flowers. While you’re waiting for those flowers to bloom, head over to the Denver Art Museum for fun for the whole family! Reminder: youth 18 and younger receive free general admission to the museum every day.
Sprinkle in some fun at Cuentos del Arte
Join us on April 6 for Free First Saturday. Our cuentista, or master storyteller, will tell the story of the stone serpents. Stories are bilingual and happen at 11:30 am and 1 pm.
Ditch the drizzle at Create Playdate
The seasons may start to change in the month of March, but there’s one thing that remains the same: there’s always a variety of fun family activities at the museum.

Angel Estrada will be in the Print Studio demonstrating relief printmaking January 5-6, 2019.
Angel Estrada is a printmaker and educator based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Originally from Indio, California, he moved to Colorado after attending Regis University to study visual art and art education. He works and creates his prints in his a studio at the Globeville Riverfront Arts Center (GRACe). He teaches at Thornton High School where he has been for the last three years.
1. Take a ‘vacation’ at the DAM
Winter break at the DAM is still on through January 6, 2019, so stop by for family fun. The Print Studio, gallery activities, A Walk in the Woods family space, and two Create-n-Takes are open every day.

Make a masterpiece (Now-January 6)
Step into the world of master printmaker Rembrandt van Rijn in the exhibition Rembrandt: Painter as Printmaker. Pick up an LCD drawing board and try recreating one of Rembrandt’s famous works, or get creative put a new spin on one of his prints.
Mami Yamamoto will be in the Print Studio demonstrating monotype printmaking techniques October 27-28.
