About Teen Studio

Teen Studio offers teens a dynamic, museum-based art experience at the Denver Art Museum. Through guided gallery exploration and hands-on studio projects, participants experiment with materials, tackle creative challenges, and build skills while developing their own artistic voice in a program designed specifically for teens.

Teen Studio workshops are now on sale! Register below.

Teen Studio workshops are led by experienced educators and professional teaching artists who support teens as independent creators. Each session blends time in the galleries with hands-on studio work, giving participants multiple ways to engage critically and creatively with art. Teen Studio is designed specifically for its age group; participants who do not meet the age requirement may be asked to withdraw. If you have questions about age eligibility or program placement, please contact us via email.

Teens are required to bring their lunch and water bottle every day. Pack a lunch with a cool pack as heating and refrigeration are not available. We request that you pack nut-free lunches to respect others with nut sensitivities.

A morning snack will be provided, but please feel free to pack your own snacks, especially if your teen has any dietary needs or restrictions.

The Denver Art Museum offers one full scholarship per camp. Students are chosen based upon their interest in art, how much they would benefit from the program, and the financial needs of the family.

Please note that camps are non-refundable after registration, and scholarships cannot be retroactively applied. Because of this, it’s best to either register for camp or apply for a scholarship.

For summer 2026, please submit your application by February 22. For further questions regarding scholarships, please reach out to the Summer Camps team at summercamps@denverartmuseum.org.

In this hands-on studio workshop, you’ll experiment with textiles, construction, and surface design while exploring how clothing can communicate identity, culture, and ideas.
