Summer Camps

Spark inspiration and ignite your child's creativity this summer!

About Summer Camps

Ignite your child’s inner artist with the Denver Art Museum’s Summer Camp annual offerings. These weeklong day camps encourage kids to get inspired by the DAM collection and to create their own art. This year, campers can sign up to express themselves through sculpture, explore the intersection of art and nature, design their own architecture, and more!

Review the 2026 Summer Camp Info Guide (PDF) for the full set of details.

Registration Information

Full day camps are $400 for members, $450 for nonmembers.

Please be aware limited spaces are available. To allow more families to enjoy the fun of summer camps at the DAM, please limit your registration to four camps. Your support of the DAM and its programming is greatly appreciated!

To ensure the chance to register for your top choice, become a member to access early registration. Learn more about DAM memberships and join today.

Please have the following information and payment method at the time of registration:

  • Name and phone number of child’s doctor
  • Insurance company name and policy number
  • List of child’s allergies, medications, and other needs
  • Your current email address and cell phone number
  • Emergency contact information
  • List of authorized pick-ups for your child

Camps are led by experienced teachers and teaching artists who guide campers through gallery exploration and hands-on artmaking in the workshop. This balanced approach allows campers to engage with art in multiple ways while building creativity and confidence. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, campers must have prior experience in a classroom setting, be fully potty-trained, and meet the age requirements for the camp in which they are enrolled. Campers who do not meet these requirements may be asked to withdraw until they are eligible to participate. If you have questions or concerns about age eligibility or readiness, please contact us via email.

The Denver Art Museum strives to meet the unique needs of all its campers while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for the entire camp community. Our Summer Camp program has welcomed many campers with identified needs, so long as we are able to support those campers with reasonable accommodations and without compromising the safety and wellbeing of campers, their peers and DAM staff.

While we aim to be as inclusive as possible, we recognize that our camps may not be able to serve everyone. With a staff-to-camper ratio of 1 to 11, we are unable to provide highly individualized assistance, such as one-on-one support from a paraprofessional. If your camper has learning, cognitive, and/or behavioral differences or special needs, please reach out to summercamps@denverartmuseum.org before enrolling. We are happy to arrange a phone call to discuss what resources we can offer and the accommodations necessary to support your camper. Don’t hesitate to reach out!

Campers must bring their own lunch each day. Please pack a lunch with a cold pack, as heating and refrigeration are not available. We ask that all lunches be nut-free to help protect campers with nut sensitivities.

A morning snack will be provided. Please pack any additional snacks your child may need for the afternoon, especially if they have dietary needs or restrictions. All campers must bring their own water bottle each day.

The Denver Art Museum offers one full scholarship per camp. Students are chosen based upon their interest in art, how much they would benefit from the program, and the financial needs of the family.

Please note that camps are non-refundable after registration, and scholarships cannot be retroactively applied. Because of this, it’s best to either register for camp or apply for a scholarship.

For summer 2026, please submit your application by February 22. For further questions regarding scholarships, please reach out to the Summer Camps team at summercamps@denverartmuseum.org.
