At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Thomas Wimberly created this poster as a thank-you to essential workers. A masked medical worker’s weary eyes confront the viewer, poignantly reminding us of our responsibility to help protect our fellow citizens. Using deceptively simple images such as this one, designers convey complex social and political perspectives while sparking conversations about current events.
