Dave Eggers is an author, editor and publisher who founded Timothy McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern in 1998. The journal quickly attracted attention for its idiosyncratic look as well as its singular mix of fiction, poetry, and art. McSweeney’s has no fixed format. Some issues are collections of separate pamphlets. One issue has four different covers; another has a completely blank front with all the cover information hidden on the back. This issue was designed and edited by comic artist Chris Ware.
