Manufactured by Design Research X, Loveland, CO
Gift of the designer, 1998.300

Designed by Lawrence Von Bamford of Loveland, Colorado, this award-winning knife is a “mono-design”: a single sweep of steel. The knife does not have a conventional handle—the gripping area is cut out of the same piece of metal. The holes in the handle area are functional. They reduce weight and, more importantly, let the outdoorsman grip the tool in three basic positions.

Known Provenance
Gifted 1998 by the designer to the Denver Art Museum.
