About the Educator

Alanna Austin is a printmaker and multimedia artist from Boulder, Colorado. She is currently a master of fine arts candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder. Austin is the founder of the Western Printmaking Alliance that acts as a conference for artists to come together on a digital platform once every other year to discuss their work and techniques. Alanna Austin is also the current Mid America Print Council Archivist for 2020-2022. The focus of her art practice is the expression of mind and self via storytelling through understanding dreams and memories past and present. Austin’s work resides in archives spanning the United States such as the Norlin Special Collection in Colorado, Matrix Press in Montana, and more.
