Slow Art Day 2026

Celebrated worldwide, Slow Art Day encourages us to look slowly and experience the transformative power of art. We invite you to spend 5-10 minutes looking closely at artworks on view at the museum. Specially trained docents will facilitate discussions of selected artworks every half hour.
Artworks to be discussed include:

- Mark Bradford’s Realness – Hamilton Building, Level 3
- Roxanne Swentzell’s Mud Woman Rolls On – Martin Building, Level 3
- Don Stinson’s High Beams and Starlight: Beyond Absence – Double Negative, July 2003 PM – Martin Building, Level 7
- Sven Birger Sandzén’s A Mountain Symphony (Longs Peak, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado) – Martin Building, Level 7
