Native Arts Artist-in Residency Open Studio Hours with CooXooEii Black
March 10, 12, & 14, 2026 - 1 pm–3 pm
CooXooEii Black is an Afro-Indigenous poet and writer from the Wind River Indian Reservation and a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe. Join Black in his studio to learn more about his practice and his upcoming installation for the Indigenous Arts of North America Galleries as part of his 2026 Native Arts Artist-in-Residency.
Black will be in the studio from 1-3 pm on Tuesday, March 10, Thursday, March 12, and Saturday, March 14. The Native Arts Residency Studio is located in the Indigenous Arts of North America Galleries on level 3 of the Martin Building.
The Native Arts Artist-in-Residence program is supported by The Christensen Fund, Deacon Turner and April Edrington, America 250 - Colorado 150 Commission, and the residents who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).
