Benjamin L. West is a multimedia artist whose work blends traditional storytelling with cutting-edge digital media that incorporates photography, digital imagery, video, and augmented reality. Join West in the studio to learn more about his photography practice and his upcoming installation as part of the 2026 Native Arts Artist-in-Residency that will feature augmented reality portraits that incorporate storytelling from several prominent Cheyenne community leaders.
West will be in the studio from 1-3 pm on Tuesday, February 24, Thursday, February 26, and Saturday, February 28. The Native Arts Residency Studio is located in the Indigenous Arts of North America Galleries on level 3 of the Martin Building.
The Native Arts Artist-in-Residence program is supported by The Christensen Fund, Deacon Turner and April Edrington, America 250 - Colorado 150 Commission, and the residents who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).
