Native Arts Artists-in-Residence Gallery Talks
Join our 2026 Native Arts Artists-in-Residence CooXooEii Black, Adrian Stevens, Sean Snyder, and Benjamin West as we celebrate their new installations in the Indigenous Arts of North America galleries.
These projects reimagine the Home/Land section of the galleries, which recognizes the Native Nations that call Denver and the surrounding region, today known as Colorado, their ancestral homelands. Opening August 1, during the 150th anniversary year of Colorado statehood, the installation honors the complex histories and enduring presence of Indigenous communities through the perspectives of these four contemporary artists.
The artists will be in the galleries from 2-4 pm to discuss their new work.
The Native Arts Artist-in-Residence program is supported by The Christensen Fund, Deacon Turner and April Edrington, America 250 - Colorado 150 Commission, and the residents who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).
