About the Speaker
Christian Allaire is the Fashion and Style writer at Vogue and a leading voice in contemporary Indigenous fashion. He is First Nations (Ojibwe) and grew up on the Nipissing First Nation reserve in Ontario, Canada. Now based in New York, Allaire’s work as a writer, editor, and stylist has been featured in outlets including Elle, Footwear News, Hazlitt, Mr. Porter, Refinery29, and more.

For years, Luncheon by Design has served as the not-to-be-missed fundraising event drawing Denver’s design community, lovers of architecture and fashion, and supporters of the architecture and design department for an exclusive presentation featuring renowned authors, scholars and designers.
Past speakers have included Gregory Bishop, director of Cartier Tradition; renowned interior designer Eric Cohler; and the museum’s own Florence Müller, Avenir Foundation Curator of Textile Art and Fashion.
