About the Artist
Stephen Prina has had solo exhibitions of his work at Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts; Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and Museo Tamayo, Mexico City. In 2003, he received a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation fellowship. His work is in the collections of Buffalo AKG Art Museum, New York; Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; Tate Modern, London; and Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Prina taught for over two decades at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and is currently professor of art, film, and visual studies at Harvard University.
Since 2007, the Logan Lecture Series at the Denver Art Museum has presented talks by over 120 contemporary artists. Organized by the Modern and Contemporary Art department, the series is made possible through the generous support of Vicki and Kent Logan.
