About the Educator
Sasha de Koninck is an artist and PhD candidate in the Intermedia, Art, Writing, and Performance program at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her work is a presentation of a multisensory experience, through the research and development of smart textile material for the body that is intimate, sensitive, and loud. Clothing reveals the details and subtleties of our personalities and life that can't always be explained in words. As material, the textile in a garment is something that is the closest thing to our skin, our shield, and security.
Connect with professional creatives, learn a new skill, and expand your own creative practice in 1-day, 4-week, and 6-week creative classes at the Denver Art Museum. These classes are taught by practicing artists and are taught in a studio art environment in the new Creative Hub located on level 1 of the newly reimagined Martin Building.
