Floyd D. Tunson: In Conversation
For more than five decades, Floyd D. Tunson has been one of Colorado’s most important and influential artists. As a painter, sculptor, photographer, and mixed media artist, Tunson explores identity, race, history, and aesthetics. With a body of work that includes a piece in the Denver Art Museum’s permanent collection and more than three decades of teaching, Tunson has shaped the cultural landscape. The pieces in his latest exhibition at Michael Warren Contemporary examine the tension between geometric order and spontaneity.
The DAM is proud to invite members of the Black Arts Collective, Contemporary Collectors' Circle, and CultureHaus to a conversation with the artist led by James A. Holmes, Denver Art Museum Trustee and Black Arts Collective Founder.
This is an offsite event at the Michael Warren Contemporary, located on 760 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204 (get directions).
