Visit the Studio for a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process with the Demonstrating Artist program! Colorado-based artist Tsogo Mijid invites you to connect and create art from 12 to 3 pm in the brand new Dream Studio, located on level 1 of the Hamilton Building.
About the Demonstrating Artist program:
Connect with an artist from our local Denver community as they share their own artistic process, and get inspired to explore your own creativity through hands-on activities throughout the Studio. Demonstrating Artist sessions occur monthly on select Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. Visit our Studio Programs page to learn more.
About the Artist
Tsogo Mijid was born and raised in the heart of the vast steppes and luminous mountains of Mongolia. His identity as a first generation Mongolian American migrant allows a life of duality where opposing cultural values of his Eastern and Western identities constantly clash and fuse; creating a marginal periphery of absent origin. His ever-revolving identity as a nomadic voyeur profoundly shapes his artistic process. His artworks integrate much of hia cultural and spiritual roots, embracing an abstract expressionist flare. In his paintings, he seeks to create visual tension through automatic and intended mark making between realism and expression.
