About the Artist
From JayCee Beyale: "My connection to my Dine (Navajo) culture is grounded in my artistic practice. My personal identity, background and pride in who I am and where I come from have always been at the heart of my work. My work is deeply influenced by music, while the combination of traditional Indigenous ideologies with my Buddhist practice is equally important to my artmaking, through which I strive to illuminate core concepts and convictions: the Laws of Movement, Unity and Impermanence."
