The Cosmic Studio draws inspiration from artists across time and space and invites visitors to experience the future of art through three hands-on activities. Lilian Lara is a mixed media artist specializing in unconventional sculptures, fashion, and textiles. Her art leans on the dramatic and creates outrageous displays of pageantry out of the everyday. She weaves story and memory to forge experiential spaces for a multigenerational audience. Lara’s immigrant roots shape her work and drive to make each piece an amalgam of innovation, defiance, and culture.
