The Wild Studio is the current theme for the museum's Studio, located on level 1 of the Hamilton Building. Inspired by Wild Things: The Art of Maurice Sendak, the Wild Studio is an artmaking space dedicated to making tactile experiences that evoke a connection to one’s inner playfulness and sense of joy.
Entry to the Wild Studio is included with general admission.
About the Artist
Gregory Forber is a Colorado artist and graphic designer working primarily as an oil painter. He graduated from Colorado State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a second major in German. Studying art abroad in Europe, notably in Italy and Germany, strongly influenced the early trajectory of his work. Hisfigurative style can be traced to European symbolists and often features biblical, mythological, and historical themes found in Italian renaissance art. More recent non-objective work explores improvisation, color, composition, movement, and mixed materials, namely metal leaf. He recently completed an artist residency at Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence and is building a body of figurative and abstract art in Denver.
