Demo Artist: Beatriz Gómez
Get a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process and connect with local artists with Studio Saturdays in the Wild Studio.
The Wild Studio is the current theme for the museum's Studio, located on level 1 of the Hamilton Building. Inspired by Wild Things: The Art of Maurice Sendak, the Wild Studio is an artmaking space dedicated to making tactile experiences that evoke a connection to one’s inner playfulness and sense of joy.
Entry to the Wild Studio is included with general admission.
Gomez will join us for a special fourth demo session on Día del Niño on Sunday, April 27. Entry to Día del Niño is free for all visitors.

About the Artist
Beatriz Gomez is a painter based in Denver, CO. She finds inspiration in nature, using her color palette to recreate landscapes and situations with a personal interpretation. Through her work with collages and recycled materials, Gomez not only addresses natural beauty but her concern for the environment and sustainability. Her style combines abstraction with reality, fusing the natural environment with her emotions and observations. Gomez invites us to reflect on the relationship between man and nature and how both can coexist in harmony.
Gomez studied art and graphic design in Venezuela and has worked as a graphic designer, art director, and costume designer for TV commercials in Venezuela and the United States. She also has worked on stage design for shows, TV commercials, music videos, showcases in stores, and dressing room design for international concerts. Beatriz has an art workshop for private lessons and she creates puppets, paintings, sculptures, and has been commissioned to do work internationally.
