33rd Annual Friendship Powwow
Join us to celebrate Native American art and culture at the 33rd Annual Friendship Powwow and Native American Cultural Celebration on Saturday, September 10. Everyone is welcome!
From 10 am to 5 pm, the celebration will include music and dance performances, artmaking opportunities, local Native organizations selling fry bread and Indian tacos, and artists and vendors showcasing jewelry, art, crafts, clothing, and more. Commemorative t-shirts celebrating the day will be on sale, with all proceeds benefitting the Denver Indian Center.
At 11 am, the Grand Entry, where all the dancers dance collectively, begins inside the new Sie Welcome Center in Sturm Grand Pavilion. September 10 is a Free Day at the DAM, so general admission is complimentary for all visitors. The festivities will be livestreamed, beginning at 11 am with the Grand Entry performance, for those who can't be there in person.
