Use Your SNAP Card for Discounted General Admission

The Denver Art Museum offers discounted general admission* to individuals and families with a Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) card. For $1 per person (for up to 10 people total), SNAP cardholders will receive general admission to the museum, which includes fun and creative programs for the whole family such as:

Create Playdate–Drop in for hands-on artmaking with your little ones, ages 35. Meet in the atrium for program location on the second Wednesday of the month, 10 am1 pm.

Create-n-Takes–Get inspired and create art in our galleries. On May 25-26, Create-n-Takes are available 10:30 am-4 pm. For Summer Break (June 1-August 18) they are available weekdays from 10:30 am3 pm and on Free First Saturdays 10:30 am4 pm.

Family Spaces–For families to get creative, play, and take a break. The First Light Family Space opens June 1. Step into the shining world of the new First Light Family Space and try hands-on activities inspired by the new exhibition, The Light Show. Capture nature’s shadows, experiment with transparency and color on overhead projectors, mix patterns to cast bold shadows, and design a wearable mirror. Little ones younger than 5 also will enjoy.

Hands-On Studios–Join us in the Paint Studio (opens June 1) to get inside a painter’s mindset and capture a world of color and light. Experiment with watercolors and learn how to paint portraits of people and outdoor scenes like landscapes and cities–no experience necessary. On the weekends at noon-3 pm catch demonstrations by local artists.

“We are glad to join in this program that allows for greater museum access to people of all ages,” said Christoph Heinrich, Frederick and Jan Mayer Director of the DAM. “Our Free for Kids program currently provides free general admission to children 18 and younger every day, and this program allows us to even further expand public access to art and creativity resources.”

*SNAP discounted tickets must be purchased in person at the museum. This discount cannot be combined with other discounts, and does not include special ticketed exhibitions.
