Supporting Black Artists at Juneteenth & at the DAM

We want to be seen. We want to be heard. And I think art is a way to do that.

At the Museum

Kerrie Joy is currently Creative-in-Residence at the DAM. As part of her residency, you can engage with her at the museum during “office hours” on Wednesdays 11 am–2 pm and Thursdays 1–4 pm. On select Sundays this summer (June 5 & 12, July 10 & 31), she'll be hosting special sound healing sessions. Her residency will culminate with the Poetic Fashion Show event on August 12.

In addition, at the museum on June 17 at 6–10 pm, the DAM is hosting Untitled: Creative Fusions with Jeff Campbell and Robert Martin and many other local artists. Untitled also will be celebrating Juneteenth and Black Pride with spoken word and poetry, a DJ set, a drag revue, video screenings, and more. Watch for more about the exciting lineup coming soon! Untitled is included with general admission, which is free every day for those 18 and under and members.
