Back when the museum could host visitors for Untitled: Creative Fusions, having a drink with friends was such a fun part of the experience. Since we had to go virtual during the pandemic, we've been inviting local mixologists to create cocktails that viewers at home can make to enjoy while they watch our livestreams. For the January 29 Untitled (see lineup of artists and program of events), we asked Makeda Gebre to create something special. In this video, she shows us how to make her original cocktail called a "Black as Knight." Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 oz Uncle Nearest 1884
1 oz Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur (The Ethiopian Coffee Bean version is only sold in California)
.25 oz Fernet-Branca
For the garnish, she made a brown sugar, vegan butter, and Himalayan sea salt popcorn.
