At the DAM's booth at Cinco de Mayo en Westwood
Artmaking activity at the DAM's booth at the 2023 Dragon Boat Festival
This summer, we’re excited to again participate in several popular community events. We kicked off the year at Cinco de Mayo en Westwood, where visitors to the DAM’s booth were invited to contribute to a community garden made of tissue-paper flowers, inspired by the exhibition Biophilia: Nature Reimagined. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and let your creativity bloom!
We’ll be at three more festivals this summer. Drop by to join us for more creative summer fun!
Juneteenth Music Festival
To celebrate Juneteenth, we will have a booth at the Juneteenth Music Festival in the historic Five Points neighborhood Saturday, June 15–Sunday, June 16. We’ll have fun artmaking activities and giveaways (while supplies last).
Denver PrideFest
The DAM is supporting the 50th anniversary of Denver Pride and walking in the Denver Pride Parade on Sunday, June 23. Staff, volunteers, and our families and friends will march in support of our local LGBTQ+ community and to help raise funds for The Center on Colfax. The Center is the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community center in the Rocky Mountain region.
Colorado Dragon Boat Festival
The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is an annual celebration of Asian and Asian American heritage at Sloan’s Lake Park and is the largest Dragon Boat Festival in the country. The DAM will have a booth Saturday, July 27–Sunday, July 28. Join us for creative activities and giveaways (while supplies last).
