Invest in Art & Culture for Future Generations with a Planned Gift

The Denver Art Museum’s mission is to enrich the lives of present and future generations through art. We encourage anyone who is passionate about bringing inspiration and creativity to our community to help sustain the museum for years to come through a planned gift. By doing so, you will become a member of the Helen Dill Society so we can thank you and recognize you now for your future impact!

Below are a few options to consider (we encourage you to talk with your financial advisor about potential tax benefits):

Add the museum to your will. You can find simple suggested language at denverartmuseum.org/planning or we can work with you to define more directed support.
Add the DAM as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, retirement account, or Donor Advised Fund.
Make qualified charitable distributions (QCD) from your IRA. If you are 70½ or older, this can be a tax-efficient way to support the museum.
Set up a charitable gift annuity. It may be easier than you think to make an investment in the museum today and receive a fixed income for life.

The process of including the DAM in my estate plan was extremely easy. I leveraged both my 401K beneficiary option and included a bequest in my will. It is important to me because I am passionate about the DAM’s philanthropic mission and believe in the value of preserving a world-class art collection for the enjoyment, education, and benefit of future generations of Denver residents.
