Explore DAM Field Trip Opportunities

Ah, the start of a new school year—freshly sharpened pencils, classrooms organized, and the whole year ahead of you. Wondering what will be at the Denver Art Museum to connect to your classroom? Wondering which works of art you can see in person and which artists you might want to study? Look no further than your school mailbox.

The teacher mailer has arrived! This envelope from the DAM is jam packed with information about field trips offered in the 2018–2019 school year. Open the envelope and explore the possibilities.

The cards were designed in the style of Charles and Ray Eames’ house of cards from the 1950s. Stack them together, create new combinations, and use them as a conversation starter on your desk! See more Eames design in the upcoming exhibition Serious Play: Design in Midcentury America starting May 5.

Each card includes an image from the exhibition it is promoting and information on the back. Find out how to book and available dates right there on the card.

From Rembrandt to Jordan Casteel (East High School alum) to Treasures of British Art. Use these cards as a tool for students to compare and contrast artworks.

If you’re not looking for a specific exhibition, you’ll also find cards for our general Creative Thinking tours in the Stampede: Animals in Art exhibition as well as online resources and teacher email signup.

Also, please look for us at upcoming teacher fairs and educator nights. Let us know all of the creative ways you’re using these cards by emailing us at
