Showcasing student art at the Denver Art Museum is part of the museum’s deep commitment to young people. Theresa Swain, art teacher at Place Bridge Academy said, "Having the DPS Middle School Art Show at the DAM is a pivotal moment in our young artist's lives!"
Aaryn Novy, art teacher from Hill Campus of Arts & Science, shared that not only is it a great way to showcase student artwork but, “it is a great opportunity for each school's artists to see other students' work too!”
In addition to being able to view each other’s art during a general admission visit to the museum, an opening reception will be hosted on May 10 for more than 188 participating artists. We hope this an opportunity to celebrate together and to admire each other's work."Students think it is a big deal to have their work shown where professional artists from around the world are also exhibited and they are so anxious to bring their families to see their work," says Novy.
