Celebrating Denver Pride 2022

Berlin to Denver
On June 14, 6–7 pm, join acclaimed LGBTQ author, filmmaker, playwright, and curator Gregory Hinton for a lecture and performance, which examines the long, close friendship between the great American modernist painter, poet, and essayist Marsden Hartley (1877–1943) and Arnold Rönnebeck (1885–1947), ex-pat German sculptor, lecturer, and Director of the Denver Art Museum (1926–1930).

Untitled: Creative Fusions
In addition to participating in Pride, on June 17, 6–10 pm, the DAM's Untitled: Creative Fusions will be inspired by Black Pride and Juneteenth with spoken word and poetry, a DJ set, a drag revue, video screenings, and more.

In June and July, meet Kerrie Joy, current Creative-in-Residence at the DAM. As part of her residency, you can engage with her at the museum during “office hours” on Wednesdays 11 am–2 pm and Thursdays 1–4 pm. On select Sundays this summer (June 5 & 12, July 10 & 31), she'll be hosting special sound healing sessions. Finally, her residency will culminate with the Poetic Fashion Show event on August 12.

Community Exhibition of Queer Art
Starting June 24, the DAM will host a new exhibition of community artwork called Queer Creativity Through the Ages: Artwork from The Center on Colfax Open Art Studio.
