Established in 2014, the Anderman Photography Lecture Series presents quarterly talks by preeminent creators and thinkers in photography today.

Tickets are discounted for members and free for Museum Friends and students with valid ID.

Presented in connection with the upcoming Dawoud Bey: Street Portraits exhibition, highly regarded photographer and educator Dawoud Bey joins to discuss his nearly 50 year career.

Anderman Photography Lecture: Richard Misrach

March 11, 2025 - 6 pm–7 pm

For over 50 years, Richard Misrach has photographed the dynamic landscape of the American West. He'll discuss his decades of work in the region and his role in the resurgence of color photography and large-format images that are common practice today.

This is a joint lecture with the Modern and Contemporary Art department's Logan Lecture Series.

Photographer Tommy Kha's work is part-autobiography and part-fantasy. He explores themes of fragmentation, the immigrant experience, and the evolving nature of identity.

September 30, 2025 - 6 pm–7 pm

Photographer Terri Weifenbach finds inspiration in the natural world. She explores the interplay of crisp focus and dissolving forms in her poetic pictures that remind us nature is filled with mystery and wonder.
