Experience the world through the eyes of the Impressionists this summer with the grand opening of DAM's latest exhibition, Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism.
The exhibit will feature 40 works of art from 19th and 20th century French and American artists including Claude Monet, Eugene Boudin, Frederick Childe Hassam, and John Singer Sargent.
The Impressionists use of color, light and composition revolutionized the way that life and art are perceived and ushered in a new era of artistry.
View some of the earliest paintings of the cutting-edge movement that transformed the art world including Charles Daubigny’s The River Seine at Mantes (1856), Gustave Courbet’s Isolated Rock (1862), and Henri-Joseph Harpignies A Meadow in the Bourbonnais, Morning (1876).
Free with admission to the museum.
Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism has been organized by the Brooklyn Museum. This exhibition is presented by US Bank.
