Workshops are held in the lower level of the North Building. Teachers receive a resource notebook at each workshop. The fee for each workshop is $85 per person. Claude Monet: Impressionist Master

Learn about the life of Monet and explore methods for integrating the visual arts into two of the following subject areas:

 

Language Arts—Writing activities including poetry, descriptive writing, and “quick writes” (as used on the CSAP examinations). Taught by Margaret Wing.

 

Visual Arts—Hands-on art activities related to topics such as plein air painting, painting like an Impressionist, portraits, and color theory with instructor Sharon Rouse.

 

Performing Arts—Script-writing based on the works of Monet! Teacher Taylor Pringle explores methods for writing and acting using visual prompts.

 

French Language—Bethany Lambrecht presents "Teaching Art and History in the French Classroom: The Rebels of the Art World" in both French and English.

 

Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Inspiring Impressionism exhibition.
