Western Duds
Western Duds is part of the campus-wide exhibition Spun: Adventures in Textiles.
This exhibition explores the importance of textiles in the colorful history of the American West. From blue jeans to serapes, western “duds” (clothing) are as recognizably western as the iconic characters who wore them. Western Duds highlights four paintings paired with the uniquely western textiles they portray and celebrates western clothing and accessories as sources of artistic inspiration.
Spun: Adventures in Textiles is organized by the Denver Art Museum. Exhibition support is provided by the Annual Fund Leadership Campaign and the citizens who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).
