The Asian Art Department encourages Denver Art Museum members
to participate in activities that focus on different aspects
of Asian art. Groups of like-minded enthusiasts meet one another
through a variety of programs. They travel to destinations
in America and Asia, write articles about Asian history and
culture, and share their enjoyment of Asian cuisine and cinema.
Support comes from a broad community of friends, who enable
the Asian Art Department to grow in new directions.

Behind
the Scenes
The
staff of the Denver Art Museum works closely with the Asian
Art Department to prepare exhibitions, conserve and photograph
objects, mount works for display, print publications, and
locate library reference materials. These activities may
not be apparent to museum visitors, but they reflect the
cooperative efforts of a dedicated corps of museum staff
and volunteers. In addition, the Asian Art Department staff
participates in cross-departmental activities including
serving on various museum committees.
