Inspired
by Chinese ceramics of the Song dynasty (960-1279), this storage
jar is similar to those found in the northern Vietnamese province
of Thanh Hoa. Its ivory-colored glaze is stained brown through
burial. The jar has six strap handles around its shoulder, an
embellishment characteristic of higher quality ceramics of the
period.
