Heaven, Hell & Everything In Between at Untitled #55 (Bound)

March 28 update: Here is the hot-off-the-presses program for this month's Untitled.

A Don Juan, a man about town, a player… whatever you want to call him, Don Giovanni’s sinful ways bound him to hell in the end. Our galleries will be filled with the music from this famous opera, Don Giovanni, at Untitled #55 (Bound). Feast your eyes and ears on a performance by the singers from Opera Colorado’s Young Artists program in the Charles Sandison video installation, Chamber. Let Sandison’s projected text—words that could be used to describe Giovanni’s world, like lust, desire and rage—swirl overhead as beautiful music envelopes you. A heavenly experience about a guy going to hell—it sounds incredible!

Plus, catch a detour led by Opera Colorado’s Young Artists through our collections as they explore art that has inspired them as budding opera stars. Check out local book artist Alicia Bailey’s new piece inspired by the manuscript box in our Asian art galleries. Push the boundaries of poetry with Denver Public Library’s Fresh City Life and, if you’re lucky, pose for a tintype photograph with artist-in-residence Will Wilson. Bind your own sketchbook in our skillshop, and test it out in the field (aka the museum) with artist Chuck Ceraso. Don’t miss the latest episode of Buntport Theater's Joan and Charlie. Are they bound together forever?

You can view the event listing on our calendar and RSVP on Facebook. See you there!
